ORIGINAL COMMISSION
This show was originally commissioned by the Marietta High School Marching Band (OH) for the 2017 season. The band qualified for OMEA State Marching Band Finals performing this show.
Concept
This concept centers around one of the most storied of all instruments - the piano. Explore familiar themes from great piano works, and bring the audience to their feet with the power of Billy Joel’s Piano Man to tie the show together. From start to finish, this show is packed with energy.This is an excellent feel-good production that is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Your students will love performing it, too!
This production contains solo/ensemble opportunities, a simple, unison choral moment in Movement 4 (that’s right - get your kids singing!), and incredibly effective moments from beginning to end.
